Galentine’s Day
You may be wondering, why do I love Galentine’s Day so much. After all, it’s a created holiday from a Parks and Rec episode (first few minutes if you’re not a fan: season 2, episode 16)
Because it’s about women celebrating the amazing women in their lives. For a while, there was a term floating around…frenemies…that I really disliked. Because that one word encapsulated a lot of what was wrong with our women friendships.
Galentine’s Day, on the other hand, brings back what is right about women friendships.
- Being there for each other.
- Crying together when it’s time to cry
- Celebrating one another
- Building each other up.
- Generally, remind each other that we are freaking fabulous!
Over the years Galentine’s Day has become even more about community and lifting each other up. And that’s our jam here at Lady Jewel. We are about coming alongside you, being a part of your support system, your cheerleading squad. Because we want you to be successful. Extraordinarily successful.
We want to be part of your team that helps you create a legacy for generations following you. Help your voice and influence live on much longer than you. So that’s why we’re fans of this holiday. And that’s why created an event for you to come and celebrate all the amazing women in your life.
But you don’t have to wait until February 13th. You can tell them now. Tell them one thing that you appreciate about them. Or one way they brighten your day. Or give them a hug. Or send them chocolate because it’s Tuesday.
Show the amazing women in your lives that they are loved, now. Because I know they need it. After the last two years…we all do.
So here’s me sending you some much-needed love…and another mix of Parks and Rec Galentine’s Day Fun ~
