My name is Pearl W. Filani and yes, I use my middle initial. My name seems much longer that way.
A couple of things you should know about me:
- I love to learn
- I love building lasting relationships
Those two things are at the heart of who I am. Therefore, I’m looking forward to learning about you and how we can build what you want together.
A few other things:
- I’m a creative that loves telling stories.
- I love pulling out the beauty in the individuals I meet.
What that means is that I’ll probably ask, no scratch that, I’ll definitely ask a lot of questions. Because I want to get to the heart of the matter. Whether it’s a corporate event or we’re working on building your personal brand, I want the depths of your story. Because it’s beautiful, and we need to share that.
A little bit of history for you
Before I started Lady Jewel, I was in marketing. And though I didn’t love it when I started, I grew to love it! Why didn’t I love it in the beginning you may ask?
When I was an undergrad at Arizona State University, I was an English/History double major. But my very astute Nigerian parents asked me what I was going to do with that, and I didn’t have an answer for them. Ever had a situation like that?
One thing led to another, and I ultimately landing in business. Specifically, Marketing. I chose marketing because it was the closest thing to an English degree I could find, that was still practical. I’ve since gotten my MBA from Arizona State, Go Sun Devils!
And now I bring all that knowledge and expertise, 20+years’ worth, to helping create your corporate event story or your personal brand.
You may be wondering why event planning? Especially since there are a lot of event planners. Simple fact, I love experiences. And I wanted to help your organization turn your corporate events into amazing experiences. Whether it was for your teams, clients, or to say thank you, I want to help you create an unforgettable experience.
As far as a personal brand, many of the amazing women I know seemed to lose a part of themselves along their journey of life. It’s not that they didn’t have a successful life or that they weren’t happy. It’s that they lost a part of themselves. Their why they were doing what they were doing. Sound familiar?
If it does, you’re not alone. As that was part of my story, too. So, I went through a comprehensive process to rediscover myself. And even though I’m still on that journey, I invite you to take that journey as well. And I’d love to be on that journey with you.
